Client specifications or an ad hoc study, with engineering coordinated to the real installation.
MV/LV switchboards
MV/LV switchboards built to client specifications or an in-house design, assembled and tested in our facility.
From client documentation to an ad hoc technical study, Elettrica System develops, builds, verifies and installs distribution, automation and control switchboards for systems requiring continuity and traceability.
In-house delivery chain
The advantage is not simply building a switchboard: it is controlling what happens before, during and after assembly.
A switchboard governs power supplies, protections, isolations, loads, automation and maintenance. Decisions on architecture, components, wiring and access therefore cannot be separated from the system it will serve.
Elettrica System works from client-supplied documents or develops the technical study in-house. The switchboard is then built in the company facility, subjected to the relevant checks and tests, supplied with the applicable documentation and installed on site when required by the project scope.
Elettrica System capabilities
The switchboard remains under control before, during and after site work.
Assembly, wiring, marking and progressive verification are managed directly.
Testing, certification, documentation and on-site installation whenever required.
Technical scope
From the starting specification to a switchboard ready to be integrated into the system.
Client specifications or an ad hoc study
We start from existing drawings and requirements or develop in-house specifications, sizing, component selection, control logic and documentation.
Engineering for maintainability
Layout, terminals, spare capacity, marking, isolation and accessibility are defined with installation, verification and future work in mind.
Assembly and control in our facility
Enclosures, wiring, components, internal order and progressive verification remain under the direct control of Elettrica System.
Testing, documentation and installation
Each switchboard undergoes the relevant checks, is supplied with the applicable documentation and, when required, transported, positioned and connected on site.
Control points
Four checks that reduce uncertainty before commissioning.
Validated input data
Loads, users, supplies, protections, available space and plant constraints are clarified before development starts.
Verified diagrams and layout
Logic, selectivity, components, terminals, spare capacity and accessibility are checked before production.
Traceable production
Assembly, wiring, marking and progressive checks make construction in the facility clear and traceable.
Technical handover
Required tests, documentation, identification and site installation support orderly commissioning.

Where it makes a difference
Switchboards for systems where continuity, access and documentation matter.
The difference lies in a continuous delivery chain: those who define the switchboard also understand the installation conditions, those who build it verify the design and those who install it hand over a documented system.

The most common questions about MV/LV switchboard design and construction.
Are switchboards built to the client's specification or to an in-house design?
Both approaches are used: Elettrica System builds switchboards to the client's specification, or develops the design in-house from diagrams, loads and functional requirements, in line with the applicable standards.
Where are the switchboards assembled and tested?
Switchboards are assembled, wired and tested at Elettrica System's operational site in Caponago (MB). Electrical, functional and documentation checks are carried out before delivery.
What types of switchboards does Elettrica System build?
Elettrica System builds LV/MV distribution boards, Motor Control Centres, and automation, command and control panels. Each solution is configured for industrial, commercial and infrastructure applications.
What is supplied together with the finished switchboard?
The switchboard is supplied with the documents required by the project: updated wiring diagrams, component documentation, test reports, manuals and the applicable declarations. The final set of documents is defined contractually.
